clarke renner was established in 1985 by its two founding Partners, David Clarke and Karl Renner. Robert Butterfield joined the practice in 1988 becoming a partner in 1998. The practice incorporated in 1999 and now trades as Clarke Renner Architects Ltd.
Over the intervening twenty years, the Practice has established for itself a reputation for high quality design, producing buildings in sensitive architectural surroundings, working in conservation areas and on the refurbishment of listed buildings, etc.
The office has a broad experience of building types; industrial, retail, commercial; but has a particular expertise in the residential sector.
The Practice has produced a number of prestigious award-winning schemes including first prize in What Home in the South East for a development for Croudace Construction in Kingston, Surrey, and second prize in The Daily Mail Book of Home Plans for a development for Cala Homes at Capel in Surrey.
Other major residential clients of the Practice have included Berkeley Homes, Barratt, Try Homes, Cala, Linden Homes, Bryant Homes, Redrow Homes, Taywood Lifestyle Homes, Wimpey Homes, Persimmon Homes, Ideal Homes, Wates Homes, Galliford Homes, Mansell Homes and Regalian .
